Here at Factory Berlin, we love students, so we're very proud to have a dedicated Student Membership. What does that mean? We are happy to review your application to receive all the benefits of a Native Membership but at a special Student Membership price.
HOW TO SIGN UP ✍️
Please log in to your membership profile via members.factoryberlin.com, navigate to 'Manage Membership' through the icon in the top right corner and select 'Student' under 'Membership Packages'.
Once you have filled out the form and uploaded the requested documentation, we will process your application and get back to you. As we are a small team, this may take up to one week.
This means that in order to change your Membership to a Student Membership from the 1st day of the following month, you must submit your request at least seven (7) days before the end of the month.
✅ Good to go:
- Students of an accredited University/equivalent (any University in the world) in Bachelor or Master programmes
- PhD Candidates
🚫 Not eligible:
- "Guest listener" or Gasthörer
- Enrolment in classes at Volkshochschule
- Student enrolled to a non-accredited institute
- Lecturers or people otherwise in the general employment of a University (besides PhD Candidates)
Please read the following carefully as this will affect your eligibility for student membership for the coming semester(s).
Student memberships are valid for one semester at a time. Our system will automatically remind you to upload updated Proof of Enrolment documents two months before the expiry of your previously submitted documentation.
If you want to continue during your next semester, you need to log into your profile again and follow the instructions in your 'Manage Membership' area.
PLEASE NOTE: If you do not follow the instructions above in time, you will be moved on to a grace period of one month from the due date of your student membership. During this time you will have another chance to upload your updated proof of enrolment. If again, no action is taken, we have to cancel your membership by the end of the grace period.
PROOF OF ENROLMENT 🔍
We check every proof of enrolment that we receive. Please make sure that it has some of the following:
✅ Valid proof:
- A valid student I.D. that has the current semester visibly printed on it
- Official certificate of matriculation
🚫 Not valid as proof:
- Student ID without the current semester
- Transcript of courses
- Invoice of student fees
- E-mail conversations with professors or deans
We reserve the right to verify if the Proof of Enrolment is valid with your University. In case the submitted documentation is not legitimate, you will remain on your current Native, Nomad or Hold Membership.
